HOW TO REGISTER YOUR DRS ON THE EKN FRAMEWORK

To start browse your DRS through the EKN platform you first need to register the intrument on the EKN.

The registration is very easy and consists in only 4 steps!

  1. retrieve the unique OTSK (One Time Secret Key) from your DRS and enable it
  2. create an account on the EKN (this website)
  3. connect your DRS to your account
  4. wait some time and your done!


1. First time registration with the One Time Secret Key


On your DRS:
  • go to Settings
  • click on the Remote panel
  • click on the EKN Sync panel
  • Press the SHOW button to display the One Time Secret Key (OTSK)
Ekn Write down the OTSK. You need this key to gain the remote access.
Yes, it's long to write down, we know! But you need to do this only once. Keep the OTSK in safe place until you finish this procedure. After the registration the OTSK becomes useless.
Press the ENABLE button.

2. Create an account on the Eye Knowledge Network


Go to www.eyeknwoledge.net/signup and register a new account.
If you are reading this you may have already registered.

3. Register your drs

Ekn2 Click in Register now to go to the registration page.

Insert the serial number of your DRS, such as drs-123 or drs-999. Keep the letters lowercase. Then insert carefully the One Time Secret Key associated to your DRS. You have to do this operation only once.

3. Start viewing


If the registration went ok there is nothing else to do!
  • Go back to your DRS and keep it connected to the internet.
  • After less than half-hour you can go back to Settings=>Remote=>EKN Sync and the device will display "registered"!
  • Done! After a while all the patients and the exams will be available on your EKN account.
